I am honored to be the new Parish Catechetical Leader for the Church of St. Philip, grades 6-11, and the Area Faith Community Confirmation Coordinator as well as Family of Faith Coordinator! I’m originally from Washington State, met my wife Kristel through a Catholic dating website, and moved to Minnesota (Kristel’s home state) in 2016 to continue my work in service to God’s people.

I earned a Master of Arts degree in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2013. After graduating, I served as an assistant catechist for my home parish’s RCIA and Confirmation programs. I later became a Confirmation coordinator and middle school catechist for the Catholic Community of St. Odilia in Shoreview, MN, a position I held for four years. It’s always been my passion in life to serve as a disciple-maker for the Church, helping to build up the kingdom of God. I strive to teach, guide, lead by personal example, and set the hearts of our youth ablaze for the Faith.

I’m excited to start working with our youth and their families, teaching about our Catholic faith in ways that everyone can relate to and understand. I’m also looking forward to getting to know the people of the Shepherd of Souls Faith Community and being an active presence in parish life.
