St. Anthony Faith Formation

“And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise.” –Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Parents are the primary educators in their children’s faith formation, and the example set at home impacts a child’s relationship with God, the church, and the community at large. At St. Anthony’s we believe that families and the church should work as a team to educate and inspire our children as they begin their life-long journey with God. Our Family Faith Formation program is designed to assist parents in teaching Faith to their children in Grades 1-6. We also offer classes for grades 7-11.

Family Faith Formation

Students in grades K-6 and their parents are invited to participate in our Family Faith Formation Program. Where the children and parents will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of our Faith.

St. Anthony Confirmation Program

Students in grades 10 and 11 participate in a 2-year program designed to prepare them to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Students learn about developing a deeper relationship with Christ and the Holy Spirit during this preparation. Students also learn about the gifts and actions of the Holy Spirit and how the Holy Spirit stays with us on our life’s journey – lighting the way to a holy and blessed life. Students discover how our Catholic Faith helps us answer some of life’s biggest questions and guides many of the decisions we make each day. Preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation also aims at assisting students to develop “…a sense of belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ, the universal Church as well as the parish community…” (CCC #1309)
