Technology

At the School of St. Philip we value our technology tools and try to create a balance in their use. We want our students to be able to use devices to facilitate learning and communication, but we also want them to learn basic skills of face-to-face communication and social skills.

• IPads
  We have iPads for a 2:1 (student:iPad) ratio. This allows students to work and learn together, often helping and instructing each other.
• Computers
  We updated our computer lab in the fall of 2017 with new Dell laptops. We use the lab for word processing, Spanish classes, and for keyboarding instruction with Type to Learn.
• Smart Board
  We have Smart Boards in our 5^th grade and 1^st/2^nd grade classrooms. They enhance learning during direct instruction. All teachers use projectors and tvs to add digital media throughout the day in different subject areas.
